As an academic pediatrician, one of my priorities has always been to share the knowledge I accrue with others. Through the media and in person, I met and continue to meet with individuals and groups who request me. I feel fortunate to do in life what I always wanted to do, and would like to continue repaying those who allowed me to practice, teach, and do research in Pediatrics.
And the Oaks Heard Them All is a new instrument for me to further my goal of giving back. The novel has been my ticket to book clubs, English classes, writing clubs, and libraries to proffer my experiences as a doctor and as an author. Having been in hundreds of classrooms, PTO meetings, and other forums over the years discussing children, I am at home in the recent venues, too, talking about my book.
Please, drop me an e-mail if you have any questions about Oaks or if you would like me to appear at your book club or library.
